A Harrogate teenager has been selected to represent Wales for an upcoming tournament.
15-year-old Eddie Ashman will play for the Welsh Under 16 Rugby League squad in this year’s Four Nations Series.
The Harrogate Grammar pupil is one of 24 players selected for the squad which will host Ireland at The Lextan Gnoll on Saturday 31st May.
Eddie and his teammates will then travel to Biggar RFC to play Scotland (29th June) and will wrap up the series against England Community Lions at Halton Farnworth Hornets (12th July).

The youngster had played rugby union locally for six years before making the switch to rugby league last year.
He joined Kippax Welfare last season and recently joined Wakefield Trinity through their under-16 scholarship program.
Eddie said:
"I’m really enjoying my rugby league and proud and excited to represent Wales in the next few months.
"I’ve got a busy few months with my GCSE's and lots of training and games with Kippax, Wakefield and Wales!"
Eddie will compete against Harrogate teammates Will Barber and Eddy McGillan, who play for Scotland and Ireland respectively.
