Harrogate residents have named a popular Italian restaurant as one they'd like to bring back to the town.
Your Harrogate invited listeners and followers to reminisce about a business that is no longer around that they would like to see again.
And following a number of comments on social media, it was calls for the return of Pinocchio’s that received the most traction.
The restaurant stood on Cheltenham Parade for 31 years before closing its doors in 2007.
It’s remembered as a hotspot for celebrations, with birthday celebrants invited to stand on their chair as they were serenaded by staff and other diners.
A Pinocchio puppet is also fondly remembered, often seen hanging over the ice cream freezer.
One resident said:
“I would love to have taken my kids to Pinocchios.”
Another added:
“Pinocchios had the best atmosphere and was great for birthdays.”
A number of other businesses were popular among commenters, including Salsa Posada, Chez la Vie, Carringtons and Jimmy’s.
