Runners from the Early Bird Run Crews in Harrogate and Knaresborough will be coming together for a special 'Big Morning Run' this week.
On Friday (10th October), runners will mark World Mental Health Day when they take on their usual 5km and 10km routes around the local area.
The event aims to raise awareness of mental health and support local charity Just B, which provides emotional wellbeing and bereavement support across the district.
Early Bird runner Sam Holbrook said:
“Our sister crews in New Zealand are doing the same for their own local charity.
“They started the idea of the Big Morning Run four years ago.
“Come join us at the cenotaph in Harrogate or the market square in Knaresborough!”
Founded in Harrogate in 2019, the Early Bird Run Crew is a community running group that meets at dawn to promote fitness, friendship, and mental wellbeing.

It was created by Ben Davis, who, after a 490-mile charity run around Yorkshire, saw the power in using running to build community, support people’s mental wellbeing and get active.
