A Harrogate care home marked the arrival of the warm weather by hosting a summer picnic party - and raised over £270.
MHA Berwick Grange had recently purchased some new garden furniture and with the glorious weather around, decided to celebrate by having a summer picnic party.
Around 70 people including staff and residents were present, and thanks to a raffle the total amount of £276.20 was raised.
The funds will go towards the home's amenities fund, from which activities and trips are arranged.
There was also plenty of singing and dancing thanks to some live entertainment.

The home laid on a range of sweet treats including cakes, scones, croissants and various types of picnic food.
Megan Wheatley, activities coordinator said:
“The summer picnic party went really well, and everyone had a great time.
“The weather was beautiful and gave us the perfect opportunity to use our outdoor space and the new furniture.
“We had a really good turnout, and it was nice to see so many family members of our residents."
She added:
“We received some lovely feedback, both on the new furniture and the picnic party.
“There was plenty of singing and dancing and everyone was in great spirits.
“We haven't decided what we are going to do with the money that was raised, but we really appreciate the support from the community and will plan something soon.”
MHA Berwick Grange provides residential dementia and nursing dementia care for our 52 residents.
