Fans of words, language and Countdown are in for a treat next month as Susie Dent brings her latest live tour to Harrogate Theatre.
The much-loved lexicographer and long-time Dictionary Corner expert will appear at the venue on Sunday 2nd August with her new show, Word Perfect.
Following the success of her previous theatre show, The Secret Life of Words, Susie's latest tour explores some of the English language's most fascinating quirks, unusual phrases and surprising facts.
Audiences can expect answers to questions such as why a group of crows is called a "murder", whether there's a word for repeatedly checking the fridge in hope of finding something new, and why there are so many different words for being drunk.
The show promises an entertaining mix of humour, stories and language trivia, as Susie shares some of her favourite discoveries from the ever-changing world of words.
Best known for her appearances on Countdown since 1992, Susie is also a bestselling author and regular broadcaster, becoming one of the UK's best-known experts on the English language.
Word Perfect comes to Harrogate Theatre on Sunday 2nd August at 2pm.
