A spectacular display of 40,000 hand-planted bulbs is now in full bloom at Harewood House, creating the largest floral installation ever seen across the estate's meadow.
The spring display was planted by Head Gardener Trevor Nicholson, Jack Pitts and a team of gardeners and volunteers.
The floral installation forms part of Harewood’s wider “Harewood in Bloom” celebrations, a new event showcasing flowers, gardens and creative displays across more than 140 acres of grounds.
The event programme has included floral installations, workshops, talks, family activities and garden trails, alongside collaborations with award-winning florist Leafy Couture.
Organisers said the aim of Harewood in Bloom is to celebrate the colour and creativity of Yorkshire gardens during the spring season.
Zoë Hughes, Head of Public Programme at Harewood House Trust, said:
"May is one of the most exciting times to experience them, as the landscape bursts into colour and fragrance.
"Harewood in Bloom brings this to life through workshops, trails, interactive experiences and artistic displays, designed to inspire creativity and spark a sense of joy for all ages.”
